German Homeschooling family seeks asylum

I've posted here once before about how homeschooling in Germany is under fire. Parents can be fined, jailed and even have their children taken away for homeschooling, so many do it in secret looking over their shoulders constantly. Recently in the news there has been a story regarding a family that has recently taken asylum in the US.

I'm also adding the HSLDA (Home School Legal Defense Association) to my sidebar under Homeschooling resources. I've just started exploring this site and it has some pretty interesting things on it.
